About The Position
Save-On-Foods is hiring an Assistant Department Manager, Produce at its Austin location in Coquitlam, BC. The successful candidate must have open availability and be available to work 40 hours per week. The role assists in leading the produce team, supporting team development and customer service, contributing to business growth, and maintaining accurate stock counts.
Requirements
- Previous retail or customer service experience is considered an asset.
- Food Safe Certification.
- Passion for great food and providing outstanding customer service.
- Strong work ethic and a “let’s get it done” attitude.
- Integrity, enthusiasm, and willingness to Go the Extra Mile.
- Open availability and availability to work 40 hours per week.
Nice To Haves
- Previous retail or customer service experience (considered an asset).
Responsibilities
- Assist with leading a team, acting as a coach, mentor, and resource to team members.
- Foster a positive environment focused on Always Customer First service.
- Engage and retain team members through training and development, performance management, rewards and recognition, and identifying and developing future leaders.
- Communicate important messages to the team.
- Use knowledge of the community, competitive environment, and industry to develop entrepreneurial strategies to grow the business.
- Take count of the correct amount of stock.
