About The Position

The Processing Worker II sorts, cleans, prices, and stocks donated goods in a Goodwill store. The role also accepts donations and assists on the sales floor as needed, providing excellent customer service to donors and customers. Goodwill is a mission-integrated organization funded by resalable goods; reselling donated items supports job-readiness training and employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities and barriers to employment.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of entry-level supervisory experience, or at least 6 months of relevant retail or used-goods experience and completion and demonstration of competencies in Leader Step 1 of the career pathway.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of quality clothing and famous brand names in merchandise is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, clean, price, and tally donations for the sales floor.
• Push racks and carts to the retail floor, assist with stocking, and pull merchandise.
• Open and close the donations area; accept and safeguard donations; and keep processing and donation areas clean, safe, and organized.
• Provide excellent customer service to donors and customers.
• Assist truck helpers and drivers with loading and unloading trucks.
• Guide ambassadors in production and donation procedures.
• Complete the Daily Assignment log and coordinate breaks and meals with management to ensure adequate coverage.
• Assist in collecting production and donation paperwork throughout the day.
• Price products for customers or staff when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
