About The Position

The Processing Worker I sorts, inspects, cleans, prices, tallies, and stocks donated goods for a Goodwill store. The role accepts and safeguards donations, keeps processing and donation areas clean, safe, and organized, and provides excellent customer service to donors and customers. It may also assist on the sales floor and support truck helpers and drivers with loading and unloading.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months of recent processor experience or successful graduation from a GISD employment program.
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of quality clothing and merchandise famous brand names is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sort, inspect, clean, price, and tally donations for the sales floor.
• Push racks and carts to the retail floor; assist with stocking the floor and pulling merchandise.
• Open and close the donations area.
• Accept and safeguard donations, and keep processing and donation areas clean, safe, and organized.
• Provide excellent customer service to donors and customers.
• Assist truck helpers and drivers with loading and unloading trucks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
