About The Position

The Processing Worker I sorts, inspects, cleans, prices, tallies, and stocks donated goods for sale in a Goodwill store. The role accepts and safeguards donations, maintains clean, safe, and organized processing and donation areas, and provides excellent customer service to donors and customers. The worker may also assist on the sales floor and help truck helpers and drivers load and unload trucks. Hourly pay is $18.00.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months of recent processing experience or successful graduation from a GISD employment program.
• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of quality clothing and merchandise famous brand names is preferred.
• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
• Processing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sort, inspect, clean, price, and tally donations produced for the sales floor.
• Push racks and carts to the retail floor; assist with stocking the floor and pulling merchandise.
• Open and close the donations area.
• Accept and safeguard donations and keep processing and donation areas clean, safe, and organized.
• Provide excellent customer service to donors and customers.
• Assist truck helpers and drivers with loading and unloading trucks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
