About The Position

The Processing Worker I sorts, inspects, cleans, prices, and tallies donated goods for sale in a Goodwill store. The role also accepts and safeguards donations, stocks and pulls merchandise on the retail floor, and provides customer service to donors and customers. Processing and donation areas must be kept clean, safe, and organized. The worker may assist truck helpers and drivers with loading and unloading and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of recent processing experience or successful graduation from a GISD employment program.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Knowledge of quality clothing and merchandise brand names preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sort, inspect, clean, price, and tally donations for the sales floor.
• Push racks and carts to the retail floor and assist with stocking and pulling merchandise.
• Open and close the donations area.
• Accept and safeguard donations; keep processing and donation areas clean, safe, and organized.
• Provide excellent customer service to donors and customers.
• Assist truck helpers and drivers with loading and unloading trucks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
