PRN Scheduling Communications Coordinator Surgery
About The Position
Valley View Hospital is looking for a qualified individual to work in our Operating Room as a PRN Scheduling Communication Coordinator. Scheduling experience is preferred, and Medical Terminology is required. This PRN position offers shifts Monday - Friday from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, as needed when staff take time off, vacation time, or sick time. The role enhances communication between Surgical Services, hospital departments, and physician office staff. The coordinator also functions as a receptionist, maintaining professionalism and positivity in stressful situations with multiple demands related to the operation of the Surgical Services Department. The hospital's mission is to provide convenient, connected care to the communities of Western Colorado with scope, technology, and expertise that are rarely found in regional hospitals.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent required
- Medical terminology required.

- Scheduling experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Performs data entry related to charging, logging, and quantifying Surgical Services activities.
- Enhances the communication between the Surgical Services, hospital departments, and physician office staff.
- Functions as a receptionist and remains professional and positive when dealing with stressful situations and multiple demands related to the operation of the Surgical Services Department.
