About The Position

Musicologie is seeking a teacher with violin expertise who enjoys introducing people of all ages to music. The teacher works with students of varying ages and abilities to identify their goals and progress through relevant curriculum, serving as a friendly guide on their musical journeys. The role also encourages community involvement through performances and group classes.

Teachers are expected to learn and follow Musicologie’s education philosophy, curriculum, and processes, and provide an outstanding lesson experience to students and families. Musicologie describes its approach as creating a safe environment and educating through play, supported by training, shadowing, opportunities for upward mobility, innovative programs and technology, and a collaborative community of teachers.

Requirements

• Expertise in violin.
• Bachelor’s degree in the instrument or equivalent experience.
• Teaching experience on the instrument.
• Experience working with children and families.
• Excellent musicianship.
• Strong in-person and email communication skills.
• Highly organized and self-motivated.
• Able to work evening hours.
• Excited to help students of all ages and abilities become passionate, proficient musicians.
• Curious and inspired to learn new things.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an outstanding lesson experience to every student and family.
