About The Position

Musicologie Lakeway is seeking a part-time violin teacher to teach students of all ages and skill levels. The teacher will provide private lessons, lead occasional group classes, help students prepare for recitals, communicate progress to families, and collaborate with other teachers and the studio manager. Musicologie handles enrollment, scheduling, billing, and parent logistics so teachers can focus on teaching. The role includes paid training in the Musicologie Method, freedom in teaching approach, and a certification program with paths for growth.

Requirements

• A degree in violin or equivalent experience.
• Experience teaching violin, including teaching children.
• Belief that lessons should be fun, encouraging, and a safe place to make mistakes.
• Availability on weekday afternoons and/or evenings and/or weekends.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice To Haves

• Experience or ability with viola, cello, and/or bass.

Responsibilities

• Teach private violin lessons lasting 30, 45, or 60 minutes to children and adults of all skill levels.
• Lead occasional group classes.
