About The Position

As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment while supporting each student’s growth, development, and enjoyment of playing music. The role also helps nurture Guitar Center’s culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. You will work with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain students according to community needs, assist with customer service as needed, and build long-term student relationships by creating a positive experience. You will communicate frequently with students and families about progress and goals, while building trusting partnerships with parents and valuing their knowledge of their child.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient.
Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the area to be taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons Curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families to build trusting relationships.
Share student progress and goals with students and/or their parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
