About The Position
As a Music Teacher at Guitar Center, you will teach piano and keyboard lessons according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment, support students’ continued musical growth, and create an enjoyable learning experience. You will work with the store Lessons Lead and build trusting relationships with students and families through frequent communication about goals and progress. You may also assist with customer service as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
- Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as piano/keyboard.
- Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the instrument or area being taught.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
- Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
- Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships through a positive experience.
- Communicate frequently with students and families, building trusting relationships and recognizing parents’ knowledge of their child.
- Share students’ goals and progress with students and/or parents.
