About The Position

As a Music Teacher at Guitar Center, you will teach music lessons according to the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment while supporting students’ continued growth, development, and enjoyment of playing music. The role also contributes to a culture of integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect, and calls for a Customer First mindset and an excellent customer experience. You will partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain students based on community needs, assist with customer service as needed, and build long-term student relationships by creating a positive experience. You will communicate frequently with students and families, build trusting relationships, recognize parents’ knowledge of their children, and share student goals and progress.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums, guitar, or keyboard.
Ability to demonstrate competency and proficiency in the area being taught.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships.
Communicate frequently with students and families to build trusting relationships.
Share students’ goals and progress with students and/or their parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
