About The Position

As a Music Teacher, you will teach music lessons to students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum. You will help increase and retain student enrollment while supporting students’ musical growth and enjoyment. The role also contributes to a welcoming store culture grounded in integrity, inclusion, musical passion, and respect. You will communicate with students and families about progress and goals, build trusting relationships, and provide customer service as needed.

Requirements

Previous experience in music, education, or a related field.
Ability to teach an instrument in which the candidate is proficient, such as drums or piano.
Demonstrated competency and proficiency in the area the candidate will teach.

Responsibilities

Partner with the store Lessons Lead to schedule and retain student headcount based on community needs.
Teach students using the Guitar Center Lessons curriculum.
Assist with customer service as needed and help build and maintain long-term student relationships by creating a great experience.
Communicate frequently with students and families, build trusting relationships, and value parents’ knowledge of their child as a music teacher.
Communicate students’ progress and goals to students and/or their parents.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
