About The Position
The agency is hiring a compassionate, energetic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to provide private-duty pediatric home healthcare for a 12-year-old male client with a G-tube in Worton, Maryland. Nurses work one-on-one in the client’s home. The agency is willing to train qualified, interested nurses in G-tube, tracheostomy, and ventilator care, with nursing supervisors providing instruction. The available schedule is every other weekend on the day shift. The agency is Joint Commission Accredited and has provided home care for adults and pediatric patients for over 38 years. Compensation is $26–$42 per hour, determined by licensure, skills, experience, and case. Employees receive time-and-a-half pay for work beyond 40 hours in a week. Health, dental, and vision insurance are available after 90 days of continuous full-time employment. The agency also offers weekly pay with direct deposit, a referral bonus program, and ongoing educational training.
Requirements
- Hold an active, unrestricted Maryland nursing license or a multistate compact license as an LPN or RN.
- Have a valid CPR/BLS certification.
- Be confident working independently.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of G-tube or tracheostomy care; qualified, interested candidates may be trained.
- Ventilator experience; qualified candidates may be trained.
- Pediatric experience.
Responsibilities
- Work one-on-one in the client’s home.
- Complete nursing assessments.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the patient’s Plan of Care.
- Document nursing notes clearly and concisely.
