Private Duty Pediatric Nurse - Lutherville, MD
About The Position
The agency is hiring compassionate, energetic Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide private-duty pediatric nursing in a client's home in Lutherville, Maryland. The case is caring for a 4-year-old male with a G-tube and BiPAP. The available schedule is seven nights per week, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. The agency is willing to train qualified and interested nurses in G-tube, tracheostomy, and ventilator care. Nursing supervisors provide training and support. This is a one-on-one home healthcare role involving nursing assessments, medication and treatment administration according to the patient's Plan of Care, and clear, concise documentation. Pay is $26–$42 per hour, depending on licensure, skills, experience, and case. Employees receive time-and-a-half pay for work beyond 40 hours per week. Health, dental, and vision insurance are available after 90 days of continuous full-time employment. The agency also offers weekly pay with direct deposit, a referral bonus program, and ongoing educational training. It is Joint Commission accredited and has provided home care to adults and pediatric patients for over 38 years.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted nursing license in Maryland or a multistate compact license as an LPN or RN.
- Valid CPR/BLS certification.
- Confidence working independently.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of G-tube and tracheostomy care; qualified and interested candidates may be trained.
- Ventilator experience; qualified candidates may be trained.
- Pediatric experience.
Responsibilities
- Work one-on-one with the client in the client's home.
- Complete nursing assessments.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the patient's Plan of Care.
- Document nursing notes clearly and concisely.
