About The Position

The Print Production Facility Associate works in a dedicated Staples digital print facility—not a retail store—to complete large copy, print, and signage orders sent from local stores. The role uses high-volume digital print equipment and finishing equipment. Training is provided for candidates who are new to print, with opportunities to cross-train in different facility functions. Some openings may offer flexibility around the employee’s schedule, and day or night shifts are available. The facility is typically not customer-facing.

Requirements

• Attention to detail and sound organizational skills.
• Experience managing multiple priorities.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, identify problems or missing information, and address them proactively.
• Basic computer skills, such as sizing and printing documents.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a print environment.
• Experience using and editing PDF files in a digital print manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow production workflows to produce a high volume of work.
• Operate finishing equipment, including cutters, drills, and bindery equipment.
• Prepare and troubleshoot file formats and convert files to print-ready PDF status.
• Ensure completed work follows the job ticket and meets customer quality expectations.
• Use and care for equipment properly, following operating instructions and maintenance schedules.
• Partner with the Production Facility Lead to process projects on time.
• Perform other duties as assigned and potentially serve as a backup driver.
