Print Production Facility Associate

About The Position

The Print Production Facility Associate works collaboratively with a team to fulfill copy and print needs by producing and finishing large copy, print, and signage orders at a dedicated digital print facility. The facility generally is not customer-facing; it processes larger orders originating from Staples stores. Training and cross-training in different facility functions are provided, and some openings may offer flexibility around an employee’s schedule. The role follows production workflows and uses high-volume digital print equipment and finishing equipment. Associates ensure that completed work matches job tickets and customer quality expectations, care for equipment, and partner with the Production Facility Lead to process projects on time. The position may also include serving as a backup driver.

Requirements

Attention to detail and sound organizational skills.
Experience managing multiple priorities.
Ability to read and interpret instructions, identify problems or missing information, and address them proactively.
Basic computer skills, including the ability to size and print documents.

Experience working in a print environment.
Experience using and editing PDF files in a digital print manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Follow production workflows to produce a high volume of work.
Operate finishing equipment, including cutters, drills, and bindery equipment.
Prepare and troubleshoot file formats and convert files to print-ready PDFs.
Ensure work is produced in accordance with job tickets and customer quality expectations.
Use and care for equipment properly and comply with operating instructions and maintenance schedules.
Partner with the Production Facility Lead to process projects on time.
Perform other duties as assigned and potentially serve as a backup driver.
