About The Position

The Senior Print Production Associate, also referred to as a Print Facility Expert, works in a Staples digital print facility rather than a retail store. The facility produces large print orders originating from stores and is not typically customer-facing. This role supports high-volume production and has a specialized function in a Print or Wide Format area. Team members may be cross-trained in different facility functions.

The associate produces and finishes large copy, print, and signage orders using high-volume, large-scale digital print equipment. The role also involves coaching team members, overseeing quality throughout production, preparing and troubleshooting print files, operating finishing equipment, packing and shipping orders, and ensuring supplies are available. The stated shift is 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a Digital Copy & Print or Manufacturing environment.
• At least 1 year of experience in production finishing or another specialized area of print manufacturing.
• Attention to detail, sound organizational skills, and experience managing multiple priorities.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, identify problems or missing information, and address them proactively.
• Computer skills with Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), Acrobat, Adobe Creative Suite, and Publisher.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the internal expert in a Print or Wide Format area.
• Coach team members on improving the efficiency and quality of orders produced in-house.
• Oversee the quality process for jobs before, during, and after production.
• Follow production workflows to produce high volumes of work using high-end digital print equipment.
• Pack and ship orders.
• Operate finishing equipment, including cutters, drills, and bindery equipment.
• Prepare and troubleshoot various file formats and convert them to print-ready PDFs.
• Work with the team to ensure adequate supplies are available in the assigned area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
