About The Position

Change.org is hiring a Principal Product Manager, Growth and Experience to shape how participants discover, engage with, and return to Ideas for Change. The role owns key moments in the participant journey, including conversion, sustained engagement, and inviting others into the conversation. The successful candidate will use data to diagnose funnel drop-offs, design experiments, and build return habits that keep participants involved across voting rounds. The role will establish shared baselines for conversion, customer acquisition cost (CAC), and return rates; develop a growth plan; improve the end-to-end voting journey; design lasting engagement; and grow the product through optimized advertising and landing-page funnels, social sharing, and viral loops. It calls for close collaboration with design, engineering, data, and other teams, along with practical use of AI tools. Ideas for Change aims to surface public will through large-scale civic input and informed, representative dialogue, then activate that will to influence public policy. Change.org is a public benefit company and social change platform with 100 million users and more than 40,000 campaigns launched monthly. Its 100% user-generated revenue model supports investment in products for more participatory democracies. The team will operate as a startup within Change.org. This is a full-time, remote role for candidates based in the United States. Annual salary is $212,000 in San Francisco and New York, $201,500 in Austin, Boston, Chicago, Washington, DC, Los Angeles, and Seattle, and $180,000 in other U.S. locations. The company describes its compensation approach as pay-equity-based, using a predetermined salary scale, role level, and local cost of labor. U.S. benefits include unlimited PTO, 18 weeks of fully paid parental leave, company-paid healthcare premiums, and wellness perks.
