About The Position

U-Haul is hiring a Preventive Maintenance Technician to keep its fleet of Ford and GMC trucks in top condition. The technician uses U-Haul’s proprietary technology to assess and care for field vehicles, performing preventive maintenance with company-provided tools. The role offers on-the-job learning and access to a Technician Training Program with Ford, GMC, and U-Haul classes. A paid hands-on working interview is offered, and the posting advertises a $100 hiring bonus. Requirements

• Driver’s license.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
• Regular attendance.
• Ability to work safely and remain alert.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., assisted or unassisted.
• Frequent movement, including standing, sitting, and moving beneath equipment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require employer sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Secure trucks on lifts and ramps.
• Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes, and replace minor parts.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Occasionally road-test vehicles.
• Use a proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist.
• Assist in additional areas as necessary, following supervisor directives and guidance.
