About The Position

U-Haul is seeking a Preventive Maintenance Technician to maintain its fleet of Ford and GMC trucks using company-provided tools and proprietary technology. The role may suit applicants entering the industry as well as those with vehicle repair experience. U-Haul provides on-the-job learning and a Technician Training Program with classes from Ford, GMC, and U-Haul. The position is based at 7810 Narcoossee Rd, Orlando, Florida 32822, and is not eligible for employer sponsorship. Applicants must be legally authorized to work without employer sponsorship. A paid hands-on working interview is offered, along with a $100 hiring bonus.

Requirements

• Driver’s license.
• Basic computer skills.
• Regular attendance.
• Ability to work both as part of a team and individually.
• Ability to work safely and remain alert.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Secure trucks on lifts and ramps.
• Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes, and replace minor parts.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Occasionally road-test vehicles.
• Use a proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist.
• Willingly assist in additional areas as necessary, following the supervisor’s directives and guidance.
