About The Position

Regina Caeli Academy is seeking a part-time Preschool Teacher for a classical and Catholic PK3 classroom in Overland Park, Kansas, near Kansas City. The position is hourly and scheduled for 13 hours per week on Mondays and Thursdays, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The academy provides childcare/nursery, curriculum, grading guidelines, and tutor training in instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards. No teaching certification or formal teaching experience is required; applicants will be taught what they need to know. The teacher must prepare for classes at home and arrive ready to teach in a highly structured environment.

Applicants must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church, have a deep love for the Catholic faith, and live the faith day-to-day, including having received the sacraments appropriate to their state in life. All staff must complete a clear background check and RCA Safe Child training before teaching. No additional vacation days are given; accommodations for sick days are made as needed.

Requirements

• Able to lift at least 30 pounds frequently.
• Able to stand and walk for extended hours throughout the workday.
• Able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and have a deep love for the Catholic faith.
• Live the Catholic faith day-to-day, including having received all sacraments appropriate to one's state in life.
• Strong communication skills, good organization, and timeliness.
• A traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.
• Clear background check.
• Complete RCA Safe Child training before teaching.

Nice To Haves

• Experience homeschooling or working with homeschool children, ministry in a Catholic parish, teaching Religious Education or Catechism classes, teaching one's own children, or teaching in a classical or private school.
