About The Position

Regina Caeli Academy is seeking a part-time Preschool Teacher for a classical and Catholic PK3 classroom in Overland Park, Kansas. The position is hourly and involves teaching 13 hours per week on Mondays and Thursdays, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Childcare/nursery is provided. Curriculum and grading guidelines are provided, and tutors receive training in instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards. Tutors must prepare for classes at home and arrive ready to teach in a highly structured classroom environment.

Formal teaching experience and teaching certification are not required. The successful applicant must have a deep love for the Catholic faith, be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church, and live the faith day-to-day, including having received the sacraments appropriate to their state in life. All employees must pass a clear background check and complete RCA Safe Child training before teaching. The role requires frequent lifting of at least 30 pounds and standing and walking for extended periods throughout the workday. No additional vacation days are provided; accommodations are made for sick days as needed.

Requirements

• Teaching certification and formal teaching experience are not required.

• The ideal applicant has strong communication skills, good organization, timeliness, and a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.
