About The Position

Regina Caeli Academy is seeking a part-time Catholic Preschool Teacher for its Austin, Texas Center. The teacher will teach in a classical and Catholic preschool classroom for 13 hours per week. Classes take place Mondays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Teachers must prepare for classes at home and arrive ready to teach in a highly structured environment. No teaching certification or formal teaching experience is required; Regina Caeli Academy provides training, curriculum, and grading guidelines. Tutors are trained to provide instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards. Applicants must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church, have a deep love for the Catholic faith, and live the faith day to day, including having received the sacraments appropriate to their state in life. All employees must pass a clear background check and complete RCA Safe Child training before teaching. Childcare/nursery is provided. The positions are hourly; no additional vacation days are given, with accommodations for sick days as needed.

Requirements

Able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and have a deep love for the Catholic faith.
Living the Catholic faith day to day, including having received all sacraments appropriate to one's state in life.
Clear background check and completion of RCA Safe Child training before teaching.
Able to lift at least 30 pounds frequently.
Able to stand and walk for extended hours throughout the work day.
Strong communication skills, good organization, and timeliness.
Willing to prepare for classes at home and teach in a highly structured environment.

Nice To Haves

Standard computer skills, ideally with Google Suite or equivalent.
Experience homeschooling or working with homeschool children, parish ministry, teaching Religious Education or Catechism classes, teaching one's own children, or teaching in a classical or private school.
