Catholic Preschool Classroom Assistant
About The Position
Regina Caeli Academy is seeking a part-time Preschool Classroom Assistant for 13 hours per week during the 2026–2027 academic year at its Jacksonville, Florida center. This is an in-person, on-site position in a classical classroom in the Catholic tradition. The center operates on Mondays and Thursdays from 8:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. No teaching certification or formal teaching experience is required; training, curriculum, and grading guidelines are provided. Applicants must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church, have a deep love for the Catholic faith, and live the faith day-to-day, including having received the sacraments appropriate to their state in life. All employees must pass a clear background check. Childcare and nursery care are provided for staff. The position is hourly, and no additional vacation days are provided beyond the academy's listed vacation and holy days, with accommodations made for sick days as needed.
Requirements
- Be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
- Have a deep love for the Catholic faith and live the faith day-to-day, including having received all sacraments appropriate to one's state in life.
- Have strong communication skills, good organization, and timeliness.
- Have a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.
- Pass a clear background check.
