About The Position

The Preschool Classroom Aide helps create a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom where children can learn, grow, and develop skills for kindergarten success. The role supports children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development; assists with classroom activities, behavior support, and daily operations; and promotes children's health, safety, and well-being. The aide partners with families through communication, conferences, and home visits, collaborates with teachers and staff on school readiness goals, and participates in ongoing training and professional development. This is an active, hands-on role supporting young children throughout the day. Occasional driving, flexible hours, and lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Experience caring for or working with young children is preferred.
• Passion for helping young children learn, grow, and succeed.
• Comfort with standing, sitting, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and using hands for classroom activities.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds may be required.
• Must submit fingerprints for a State of Michigan Background Check and possess acceptable identification for the fingerprinting appointment.
