About The Position

The Preschool Classroom Aide helps create a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom where children can learn, grow, and build skills for kindergarten success. The role supports children's development and well-being, assists with classroom activities and daily operations, and partners with families and other staff to support school readiness. It is active and hands-on, with occasional driving, flexible hours, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The selected applicant must submit fingerprints for a State of Michigan Background Check and provide acceptable identification for the fingerprinting appointment.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Experience caring for or working with young children is preferred.
• Pass a State of Michigan Background Check by submitting fingerprints; provide acceptable identification for the fingerprinting appointment.
• Be comfortable with an active, hands-on role involving standing, sitting, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and using hands for classroom activities.
• The position may occasionally require driving, working flexible hours, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Passion for helping young children learn, grow, and succeed.
