Preschool and Toddler Aides
About The Position
Kamaʻāina Kids is hiring Preschool and Toddler Aides for entry-level opportunities in early childhood education. Aides help create a safe, supportive classroom where children feel excited to learn. Limited positions are available for candidates who are ready to work toward PATCH qualification. The company provides training, credentials, hands-on experience, and opportunities to advance into Teacher, Lead Teacher, and leadership roles. The position is full-time in the Mililani area, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM. Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. and reside in Hawaiʻi or have plans to relocate. Requirements
- At least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Genuine interest in working with young children.
- Dependability, patience, and willingness to learn.
- Applicants for entry-level opportunities must be able to work toward PATCH qualification.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and reside in Hawaiʻi or have plans to relocate.
Nice To Haves
- Professional childcare experience is not required for the limited entry-level opportunities.
- Readiness to learn and pursue PATCH qualification.
Responsibilities
- Engage children in art, music, stories, sensory play, outdoor activities, and hands-on learning.
- Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Encourage communication, independence, curiosity, and confidence.
- Comfort children during difficult moments and celebrate their accomplishments.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
- Keep classrooms clean, organized, safe, and ready for learning.
