About The Position

The Learning Experience is seeking an Infant and Toddler Preschool Teacher to help make a difference in the lives of children, families, and communities. Teachers use a growth mindset to support children’s development and inspire a love of learning. The role involves leading classroom management and creating a safe, nurturing, engaging environment for children to play and learn. The teacher implements the proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum® with infants, toddlers, and/or preschool children in ways that reflect each child’s unique needs. The position also includes mentoring less experienced teachers, communicating with families about children’s activities and achievements, and partnering with center staff and leadership to support enrollment and engagement goals.

Requirements

• At least six months of professional teaching experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).
• NC credentials.
• Must meet state-specific guidelines for the role.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of professional teaching experience.
• Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field.
• CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and mentor less experienced teachers in the classroom by modeling behaviors and providing feedback.
• Manage the classroom and lead a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
• Serve as a role model, using a growth mindset to develop young minds and inspire a love of learning.
• Implement the proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum® with infants, toddlers, and/or preschool children in a way that reflects each child’s unique needs.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Communicate regularly with parents about their children’s activities and achievements through mobile apps and personal discussions.
• Partner with center staff and leadership to support goals around enrollment and engagement.
• Build relationships with families and coworkers and foster an environment where play and learning happen seamlessly.
