About The Position

Novolex is hiring a Precision CNC Mill Setup and Operations Machinist in Cedar Rapids. The role involves setting up and operating CNC milling equipment for milling and drilling operations in a clean, climate-controlled environment, with an emphasis on quality and reliable throughput. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Compensation progresses from $28.94 initially to $30.88 after 12 months, with scheduled increases at three, six, nine, and twelve months.

The machinist assembles tooling, fixtures parts, secures workpieces to specifications, loads programs or enters instructions from job documentation, monitors machine performance, inspects parts with precision instruments, and adjusts offsets and tooling to maintain dimensional accuracy. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Either a two-year A.A.S. in CNC Machining Technology or 3–5 years of CNC machining experience in manufacturing.
• Proficiency with CNC tooling, CNC machine repair, CNC machine setup and changeover, precision measurement and hand metrology, advanced inspection and gauge measurement, and machine setups for production runs.
