About The Position

Urschel is hiring a full-time CNC Precision Machinist for second-shift operations. The role machines features in a variety of materials using CNC equipment and hand tools. The machinist understands CNC program codes and programs, edits programs when necessary, and documents all changes. The regular schedule is Monday through Thursday, with Friday work potentially required based on workload. Urschel is a 100% employee-owned company that designs and manufactures industrial cutting equipment for food processing and allied industries. The position is based at the company's global headquarters in Chesterton, Indiana, in a climate-controlled, clean, and environmentally conscious facility. Starting pay is $31.81 per hour, plus a 5% shift premium.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
One to two years of machining experience.
Strong math skills.
Blueprint-reading ability.
Ability to use precision measuring equipment.
Solid organizational and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

Machine features in various types of material using CNC equipment and hand tools.
Understand CNC program codes and programs.
Edit CNC programs when necessary and record all changes for documentation.
