About The Position

Schunk Xycarb Technology, Inc. is hiring CNC Setup Machinists for its 1st Shift team in Georgetown, Texas. The CNC Setup Machinist produces high-quality quartz components that meet customer specifications and quality standards. The role involves setting up and operating CNC lathes and mills, inspecting parts, and maintaining a safe and organized work area. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, with no overnight shifts. Overtime may be required as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–5 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently bend, reach, and stoop.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Haas mills and lathes is preferred.
• Technical or vocational machining training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills.
• Set and adjust work and tooling offsets.
• Operate manual machining equipment as needed.
• Read and understand basic G and M code.
• Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
• Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments.
• Perform visual inspections and ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
