Pre-Assembly Worker, Overnight, Fresh Kitchen - Deerfield
About The Position
The Pre-Assembly Worker performs set-up and start-up activities on department equipment; opens packages, places products in tubs or racks, and transports them to the appropriate area. The role includes documenting equipment inspections, reporting unsafe conditions or damage to products, equipment, or the facility, recording lot numbers and code dates, labeling products, and maintaining accurate inventory. The worker reads and understands production paperwork, audits materials for Quality Assurance, assists operators with daily production tasks, and completes all required paperwork. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Demonstrate safe working habits.
- Be able to push or pull pallets in excess of 1,500 lbs.
- Be able to lift in excess of 50 lbs. frequently.
- Be able to learn and perform all positions.
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Have good human relations skills, including the ability to work well with others and be a team player.
- Be able to work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
- Have excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Be willing to assist other team members in other areas.

- Be able to work efficiently with little or no supervision.
- Understand Lockout/Tagout compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

- Document lot numbers and code dates.
- Label products and ensure accurate inventory.
- Read and comprehend production paperwork and documents.
- Audit materials for Quality Assurance.
- Assist operators with daily production tasks.
- Accurately complete all paperwork required for the position.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Benefits
- Holiday Bonus: 15 hours of pay in the first year of continuous employment, one week’s pay in the second year, and two weeks’ pay in subsequent years, subject to remaining employed through the bonus check issue date.
- Night differential of $0.75 per hour for associates regularly scheduled to work hours between midnight and 3:00 a.m., excluding shifts that end at midnight or begin at 3:00 a.m.
- Weekend differential of $2.00 per hour for hours worked from 12:00 a.m. Saturday through 11:59 p.m. Sunday.
