About The Position

The Palletizing Room Worker fills order quantities, ensures products are labeled accurately, inspects finished products for quality, and stacks products on pallets. The role also documents label verification and product changeovers, completes required paperwork, and maintains equipment and work areas in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Demonstrate excellent work habits in line with GMPs and safe working habits.
• Lift more than 25 pounds repetitively and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Push and pull full tubs of product weighing 500 pounds.
• Learn and perform all positions.
• Work in a fast-paced environment and productively for extended periods.
• Have good human relations skills and work well with others as a team player.
• Work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and work extended hours.
• Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Possess general knowledge of machine operation and recognize problems when they occur.
• Work efficiently with little or no supervision.
• Understand Lockout/Tagout compliance requirements.
• Be dependable and possess good follow-up skills.
• Have good verbal and written communication skills and communicate effectively.
• Follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Possess basic math skills.
• Show enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work, and demonstrate commitment to Publix and its mission.

Responsibilities

• Fill order quantities.
• Ensure accurate labeling of products.
• Perform quality inspections of finished products.
• Stack products on pallets.
• Document label verification and product changeovers.
• Complete all paperwork required by the position.
• Maintain clean equipment and work areas in accordance with GMPs.
• Assist team members in other areas as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
