About The Position

The Sanitation Operator cleans production equipment and environmental areas, safely uses and stores chemicals, and helps maintain equipment and sanitation procedures. The role includes assembling and disassembling equipment, preventing damage to electrical wiring and control panels during cleaning, and operating and maintaining floor scrubbers. The operator may also perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Demonstrate safe working habits.
Be able to use industrial-strength chemicals.
Understand and demonstrate all Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
Be able to lift more than 50 pounds frequently.
Be able to push or pull heavy equipment.
Have basic mechanical skills.
Be able to work in a wet and slippery environment.
Possess general knowledge of machine operation.
Be able to bend, stoop, squat, and perform similar movements.
Be able to learn and perform all positions.
Use creative thinking for troubleshooting.
Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Have good human relations skills, including the ability to work well with others and be a team player.
Be able to work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
Have excellent attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

Assemble and disassemble equipment.
Dispense and use chemicals safely.
Maintain the chemical storage area.
Clean all production equipment.
Maintain standard operating procedures at an exceptional level.
Prevent damage to equipment while cleaning, including damage to electrical wiring and control panels.
Apply various chemicals to different equipment and environmental locations.
Operate and maintain floor scrubbers.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Benefits

Holiday Bonus: 15 hours of pay in the first year of continuous employment, one week's pay in the second year, and two weeks' pay in subsequent years, subject to remaining employed through the bonus check issue date.
$2.00 per hour weekend differential for hours worked from 12:00 a.m. Saturday through 11:59 p.m. Sunday.
