About The Position

The Assembly Support Operator supports production in the Fresh Kitchen by setting up and operating departmental equipment, assembling and disassembling equipment, and following strict sanitation and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) to help ensure food-safe products are manufactured. The role involves gathering, preparing, and weighing raw materials; calculating daily production needs; forecasting raw-material inventory; communicating production needs to support areas; and accurately completing required paperwork. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Demonstrate safe working habits.
• Frequently lift more than 50 pounds.
• Be able to learn and perform all positions.
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Have good human relations skills, including the ability to work well with others and be a team player.
• Be able to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as extended hours.
• Have excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Be willing to assist other team members in other areas.
• Be able to push roll tubs weighing more than 1,200 pounds.
• Be able to perform steady, productive work for an extended period.
• Be able to work efficiently with little or no supervision.
• Understand Lockout/Tagout compliance requirements.
• Be dependable and possess good follow-up skills.
• Have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Be able to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Possess basic math skills.
• Be able to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate all equipment in the department.

• Gather, prepare, and weigh raw materials.
• Calculate daily production needs.
• Forecast raw-material inventory.
• Communicate production needs to other support areas in a timely and accurate manner.
• Accurately complete all paperwork required for the position.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
