About The Position

The Shipping Room Operator selects products to be loaded, loads and unloads trailers, completes necessary paperwork, and operates a palletizer, sit-down forklift, and clamp truck. The role includes operating, maintaining, and cleaning equipment in the work area; contributing to continuous improvement of work processes and team and technical skills; assisting throughout the department as needed; and helping train new associates at leadership’s discretion. The position works in a cold environment and requires learning all aspects of the cooler.

Requirements

• Ability to operate a sit-down forklift and clamp truck.
• Ability to lift up to 50+ pounds.
• Ability to pull 180–200 pounds across a slick surface.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
• Ability to perform continual bending, reaching, pulling, carrying, lifting, and walking.
• Excellent safety work habits.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
• Ability to perform steady, productive work for an extended period of time.
• Willingness to assist other team members in other areas.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Good time-management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• High level of maturity, discretion, tact, and judgment.
• Ability to work in a cold environment and learn all aspects of the cooler.
• Good human relations skills, including the ability to work well with others and be a team member.
