About The Position

The Shipping Room Operator selects product to be loaded, loads and unloads trailers, and completes necessary paperwork. The role operates a palletizer, sit-down forklift, and clamp truck, and operates, maintains, and cleans equipment in the work area. The operator contributes to continuous improvement of work processes, team skills, and technical skills; assists in other areas of the department as needed; and may help train new associates at leadership's discretion.

Requirements

Ability to operate a sit-down forklift and clamp truck.
Ability to lift up to 50+ pounds.
Ability to pull 180–200 pounds across a slick surface.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
Ability to continually bend, reach, pull, carry, lift, and walk.
Excellent safety work habits.
Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
Ability to perform steady, productive work for an extended period.
Willingness to assist other team members in other areas.
Ability to work independently with little supervision.
Good time-management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
High level of maturity, discretion, tact, and judgment.
Ability to work in a cold environment and learn all aspects of the cooler.

Responsibilities

Select product to be loaded.

Benefits

Year-end Holiday Bonus: 15 hours of pay in the first year of continuous employment, one week's pay in the second year, and two weeks' pay in subsequent years, subject to remaining employed through the bonus check issue date.
$2.00 per hour weekend differential for hours worked from 12:00 a.m. Saturday through 11:59 p.m. Sunday.
