About The Position

Bear Creek Animal Hospital in Ashland, Oregon is seeking a Practice Manager to lead and grow a team of department leaders. The ideal candidate will demonstrate high competence in role execution, excel in problem-solving, and remain actively engaged on the floor, supporting and guiding the team in real time. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a Practice Owner committed to professional development and business growth. The practice's mission is to provide pets with the best quality care possible. They are a small animal, 1.9 FTE DVM, independently owned practice with growth aspirations.

Requirements

3-5 years' experience in veterinary management required
Must provide the email and phone number of 3 personal references that can speak to leadership qualities.

Nice To Haves

CVPM is desired, but not required. The practice is willing to help a motivated individual grow into this designation.

Responsibilities

Manage daily operations, including facility maintenance, equipment management, and ensuring an OSHA compliant, efficient, and welcoming environment.
Oversee healthy budgeting, business growth and all budget oversight and management including financial reporting.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of veterinary professionals. Follow all relevant HR laws. Implement and uphold Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), manage performance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Utilize servant leadership style techniques to encourage a strong, happy team.
Supervise inventory management, collaborating with designated leads to maintain optimal stock levels and cost efficiency. Should be knowledgeable in all areas of Inventory Management.
Enhance client satisfaction through exceptional service, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring clear, consistent communication.
Identify and implement marketing strategies to promote services, including leveraging same-day appointment availability and increasing community awareness.
