About The Position

TRC, Member of WSP, is seeking motivated and diverse Power Distribution Interns for its Summer 2027 internship program. The position is based in the Fort Wayne, Indiana office and is a paid, full-time internship anticipated to run from June through August 2027, with a flexible duration. The role may transition into a full-time position after graduation. Interns work under the supervision of Project Managers and Team Leaders and partner with engineers, scientists, and technologists. The work is roughly split between the office and field, though the balance may vary by week. The position offers exposure to utility design standards, engineering workflows, and project delivery processes.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Be a junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's or associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Possess solid technical and problem-solving skills.
• Be self-motivated and detail-oriented.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Be honest, hard-working, ready to learn and grow, and bring a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Use CAD-based programs to design power line routes and perform pole structural and clearance analysis.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as necessary.
