About The Position

TRC, Member of WSP, is hiring a paid, full-time Power Distribution Intern for its Summer 2027 internship program, based out of the Franklin, Massachusetts office. The anticipated internship runs from June through August 2027, with flexible dates. Applying to this role also submits the application to Summer Internship Program openings in more than 150 U.S. locations. The role may transition to full-time employment after graduation.

The intern will work under the supervision of Project Managers and Team Leaders and partner with engineers, scientists, and technologists. Work includes field preparation, field surveys, back-office design, documentation, and CAD drafting. The intern will use field notes and client documentation to reference construction standards. The hourly salary range is USD $20.00–$28.00. Interns and trainees receive benefits in accordance with the laws of their state or country of residence. The employee may be eligible to participate in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program, subject to company, business segment, and individual performance against key performance indicators.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Be a junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's or associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Possess solid technical and problem-solving skills.
• Be self-motivated and detail-oriented.

• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Bluebeam.
• Be honest, fun, hard-working, and ready to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for fieldwork in the office.
• Conduct field surveys.
• Support back-office design and prepare documentation.
• Draft in CAD.
• Use gathered field notes and client documentation to reference construction standards.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as necessary.
