About The Position

TRC, Member of WSP, is seeking highly motivated Power Distribution Interns for its Summer 2027 internship program, based out of the North Canton, Ohio office. The paid, full-time internship is anticipated to run from June through August 2027, with flexible dates. Interns will work under the supervision of Project Managers and Team Leaders and partner with engineers, scientists, and technologists. The role has potential to transition into a full-time position upon graduation.

The work includes field collection, walking from pole to pole to collect data and take photographs, and potentially office-based work measuring and identifying pole components using a program. The hourly salary range is $20.00–$28.00. Interns receive benefits in accordance with the laws of their state or country of residence and may be eligible for the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program, contingent on company, business segment, and individual performance against applicable Key Performance Indicators.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Be a junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s or associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Possess solid technical and problem-solving skills.
• Be self-motivated and detail-oriented.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Have a clean driving record.
• Be honest, fun, hard-working, and ready to learn and grow.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Some exposure to finance.

Responsibilities

• Collect field data using Hastings sticks and Katapult collection.
• Walk from pole to pole to collect data and take photographs of poles.
• Potentially measure and identify different pole components in an office setting using a program.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as necessary.
