POS Project Manager

Church's Chicken•Atlanta, GA
•Onsite

About The Position

The POS Project Manager leads concurrent point-of-sale (POS) hardware and payment-device upgrades and a back-of-house (BOH) software migration across approximately 770 Church’s Texas Chicken corporate and franchise locations. The POS program replaces aging terminal infrastructure and payment devices through coordinated, wave-based deployments. The BOH program is a software-platform migration requiring structured change management, franchisee engagement, and rigorous cutover planning to minimize disruption to restaurant operations. The role manages integrated plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, deployment readiness, vendors, and communications across both programs. Franchisee relationship management and proactive communication are central to the position. The manager works closely with restaurant technology leadership, store technology support, technology vendors, field operations teams, and franchise partners. The position is based on-site at the corporate headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, with travel to restaurant locations as needed, up to 25%.

  • Hands-on experience leading large-scale POS hardware deployment programs in a multi-unit QSR or retail environment, including programs of comparable scope involving hundreds of locations.
  • Experience managing restaurant or retail BOH software migrations, including cutover planning, franchisee or operator readiness, rollback protocols, and post-migration support in a live restaurant environment.
  • Experience managing concurrent technology programs across corporate and franchise locations, with an understanding of franchise relationships and the communication, scheduling, and change-management needs of franchise deployments.
  • Demonstrated vendor-management experience coordinating and holding accountable hardware installation vendors, software deployment partners, and logistics providers in geographically distributed, high-volume programs.
  • Proficiency with project and portfolio management tools such as Monday.com, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or equivalent, including detailed store-level deployment tracking across a portfolio of more than 700 locations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce audience-appropriate status reports and present program health to leadership, operations stakeholders, and franchise partners.
  • Direct, proactive, solutions-oriented issue-resolution skills, including identifying deployment problems early and driving them to closure.
  • Working familiarity with in-store restaurant technology infrastructure, including POS terminals, payment devices, BOH servers, network hardware, firewalls, wireless access points, and structured cabling.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
