About The Position

Planned Companies Building Services is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Porter to provide common-area and bathroom cleaning services at residential and commercial properties in San Francisco and Oakland. The Porter helps protect the health of tenants, guests, and vendors by maintaining a clean, healthy, and safe property. The role calls for polite, respectful, thorough, and observant service.

This is an on-call position paying $29.00 per hour. Duties also include requesting cleaning supplies, reporting breakages and needed repairs, and assisting building management with projects and other duties as requested.

Requirements

• Willingness to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
• Experience in similar roles using cleaning products and equipment to clean floors and carpets.
• Ability to work on a team and independently when needed.
• Strong report-writing and clear verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors of various types.
• Strip, buff, and wax floors of various types.
• Dust ceilings, light fittings, countertops, and loose furniture.
• Scrub and sanitize bathroom toilets, sinks, and kitchen fixtures.
• Empty trash cans and wash and dry windows.
• Request cleaning supply orders and report breakages and needed repairs.
• Assist building management with projects and other job duties as requested.
