About The Position

Planned Companies Building Services is hiring a friendly, detail-oriented Porter to provide common-area and bathroom cleaning services at residential and commercial properties. The role helps ensure tenants, guests, and vendors have a clean, healthy, and safe place to live or work. The Porter is expected to be polite, respectful, thorough, and observant about additional service needs. The schedule is on call, with likely work locations in Fremont, Menlo Park, Milpitas, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Redwood City, San Jose, Santa Clara, San Mateo, and Sunnyvale. Pay is $29.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Be willing to stand for extended periods.
• Be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
• Have experience in similar roles using cleaning products and equipment to clean floors and carpets.
• Be able to work both on a team and independently when needed.
• Have strong report-writing and clear verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors of various types.
• Strip, buff, and wax floors.
• Dust ceilings, light fittings, countertops, and loose furniture.
• Scrub and sanitize bathroom toilets, sinks, and kitchen fixtures.
• Empty trash cans and wash and dry windows.
• Request cleaning supply orders and report breakages and needed repairs.
• Assist building management with projects and other duties as requested.
