About The Position

Planned Companies Building Services is seeking friendly, detail-oriented Janitors and Custodians to provide common-area and bathroom cleaning services at residential and commercial properties. The role helps ensure that tenants, guests, and vendors have a clean, healthy, and safe property in which to live or work. Porters are expected to be polite, respectful, thorough, and observant, and to provide a high level of service.

The position is on call and covers locations in Alameda, Berkeley, Fremont, Pittsburg, Pleasant Hill, Pleasanton, and Walnut Creek. Pay is $29.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Be willing to stand for extended periods.
• Be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
• Have experience in similar roles using cleaning products and equipment to clean floors and carpets.
• Be able to work both as part of a team and independently when needed.
• Have strong report-writing and clear verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors of various types.
• Strip, buff, and wax floors of various types.
• Dust ceilings, light fittings, countertops, and loose furniture.
• Scrub and sanitize bathroom toilets, sinks, and kitchen fixtures.
• Empty trash cans and wash and dry windows.
• Request cleaning supply orders and report breakages and needed repairs.
• Assist building management with projects and perform other duties as requested.
