About The Position

The Porter maintains cleanliness and sanitation in the front of the house, including tables, counters, floors, windows, and beverage stations. The role supports smooth service by clearing and cleaning tables and floors, washing dishes and equipment, keeping display equipment clean, and helping receive and transport deliveries. The Porter follows food safety, sanitation, HACCP, lifting, and personal safety procedures. This full-time position is based at Bay Area CRS in Hayward, California. The schedule and hours may vary; further details are provided during the interview. The fixed pay rate is $26.40 per hour. Previous experience is preferred, and training is available.

Responsibilities

• Bus, clear, and clean tables and clear and sweep floors during peak service times; prepare them before service.
• Transport dishes and utensils safely from the front of the house to the kitchen using trays, bus tubs, or carts.
• Wash dishes, glasses, and pots; clean cooking stations and equipment while maintaining sanitation standards.
• Scrape and rinse food from dishes and wash them by hand or load them into racks or a dishwashing machine, depending on assigned equipment.
• Maintain complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Keep display equipment clean, free of debris, and compliant with safety and sanitation standards during meal service.
• Help receive heavy deliveries at the dock and transport them to assigned storage areas while following safe lifting standards.
• Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures, and follow HACCP standards.
• Follow company safety policies, including using appropriate cut-resistant gloves, heat-protective gloves, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
