About The Position

The Pool Server provides exceptional poolside and Malibu Farm dining service at Four Seasons Resort Lāna’i. The role welcomes guests, anticipates their needs, and creates personalized, memorable experiences while embodying the Golden Rule and maintaining luxury hospitality standards. The position includes explaining menu offerings and making personalized food and beverage recommendations; accurately recording orders and guest preferences in POS and reservation systems; coordinating with culinary and service teams; assisting with seating, pool amenities, and guest requests; processing payments; maintaining clean and organized pool, dining, and service areas; and supporting opening, closing, restocking, and daily operational duties. Scheduled days and times may vary based on business needs. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Requirements

Must possess legal work authorization in the United States.
Must obtain a Tuberculosis (TB) clearance card as required by the Hawaii State Department of Health.
Hawaii Food Handler’s Card is required.
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 75 pounds, and push or pull as needed during shifts.
Availability to work weekends and holidays; scheduled days and times may vary based on business needs.

Maui Liquor Card is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Explain menu offerings, specials, ingredients, and preparation methods, and make personalized food and beverage recommendations.
Enter orders, guest preferences, dietary requirements, and special requests accurately into POS and reservation systems.
Coordinate with culinary and service teams to ensure timely, accurate delivery of food and beverages.
Assist guests with seating, chair and umbrella setup, towels, water service, and pool amenities in accordance with Forbes standards.
Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly to requests, and resolve concerns professionally.
Build rapport by recognizing guest preferences and providing personalized, attentive service.
Accurately process guest checks, room charges, cash and credit card transactions, and authorized adjustments.
Maintain clean, organized, and well-presented pool, dining, and service areas throughout the shift.
Support opening and closing duties, including setup, breakdown, cleaning, and replenishment of service stations and guest amenities.
Transport and restock supplies, linens, towels, and operational materials.
Uphold service, safety, cleanliness, and luxury hospitality standards while collaborating with pool and restaurant teams.
