About The Position

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a service-oriented Pool Server to provide hospitable service to guests. The role involves taking and accurately processing food orders, monitoring food delivery and presentation, maintaining a clean and properly set-up station, following regulations for serving alcoholic beverages, processing guest checks and payments, and assisting with table bussing. The position requires familiarity with menu items and service procedures, teamwork, multitasking, effective communication, basic math skills, and flexibility to work different hours and shifts.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of experience in a hotel or restaurant serving role.
• Team-player attitude.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally.
• Ability to exceed the expectations of guests and team members.
• Ability to operate available equipment, such as cash registers and calculators.
• Basic mathematical skills for making change and giving refunds.
• Ability to work flexible hours and shifts.

Nice To Haves

• Post-high-school education is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Seat guests and take accurate food orders.
• Monitor food distribution to ensure meals are delivered to the correct guests, properly prepared, and attractively presented; maintain an appealing buffet where applicable.
• Check the assigned station before, during, and after the shift to ensure proper setup and cleanliness.
• Follow state, federal, and company liquor regulations, including rules concerning minors and intoxicated guests.
• Become familiar with menu items, their preparation, and service procedures.
• Total guest checks, present them, and accept payment.
• Assist with bussing tables.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
