About The Position

The Pool and Beach Attendant welcomes guests, maintains positive guest relations, and helps ensure the pool area is clean, organized, and safe. The role includes preparing the pool deck and furniture, handling clean and soiled towels, monitoring restroom supplies and cleanliness, and completing opening and closing duties. The attendant must follow pool safety standards and use first aid and lifesaving procedures when needed. Pay is $15 per hour plus tips/commission.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Excellent guest service and oral communication skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. and carry up to 75 lbs.
Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Greet guests arriving at the pool in a professional, friendly, and engaging manner.
Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, acknowledge all guests, and maintain positive guest relations.
Maintain knowledge of the daily house count, in-house VIPs, arrivals and departures, hotel facilities and services, and food-and-beverage outlet hours.
Obtain clean towels from Laundry, transport them to the pool deck, and fold and stack them.
Open, set up, and organize the pool deck.
Set up pool furniture, towels, and umbrellas.
Remove trash and debris from work areas and pool facilities.
Sweep, wash down, mop, and clean the pool deck, and use a squeegee to dry the decks.
Check pool restrooms during the shift for supplies, cleanliness, and working order, and notify the proper departments of any needs.
Follow pool safety standards, including procedures for adverse weather conditions.
Collect dirty towels left on chairs and the pool deck.
Use first aid and lifesaving procedures when situations demand.
Complete closing duties and return soiled towels to Laundry.
