About The Position

The Pool and Beach Attendant welcomes guests to the pool, provides attentive and friendly service, and helps maintain a clean, safe, and organized pool area. The role includes preparing and closing the pool deck, setting out furniture, towels, and umbrellas, maintaining towel supplies, and checking pool restrooms for cleanliness, supplies, and working order. The attendant follows pool safety standards, responds to guest needs, and uses first aid and lifesaving procedures when required. The position pays $15 per hour plus tips/commission.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Excellent guest service and oral communication skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. and carry up to 75 lbs.
Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities

Greet guests arriving at the pool in a professional, friendly, and engaging manner.
Anticipate and respond promptly to guests’ needs and acknowledge all guests.
Maintain positive guest relations.
Maintain knowledge of daily house count, in-house VIPs, arrivals and departures, hotel facilities and services, and food-and-beverage outlet hours.
Obtain clean towels from Laundry, transport them to the pool deck, and fold and stack them.
Open, set up, and organize the pool deck.
Set up pool furniture, towels, and umbrellas.
Remove trash and debris from work areas and pool facilities.
Sweep, wash down, mop, and clean the pool deck, and use a squeegee to dry the decks.
Check pool restrooms during the shift for supplies, cleanliness, and working order, and notify the appropriate departments of needs.
Follow pool safety standards, including procedures for adverse weather conditions.
Collect dirty towels left on chairs and the pool deck.
Use first aid and lifesaving procedures when needed.
Complete closing duties and return soiled towels to Laundry.
